Roberto, the owner of The Vinum Estate, decided to use the same grapes as his Barolo D.O.C.G. to make his unique Nebbiolo d’Alba D.O.C. A part of the harvest is used to create a special Nebbiolo d’Alba, a Riserva which always ages more than the Barolo.

The high potential of these grapes, allowed The Vinum to create a well structured wine which can be considered one of the best wines produced in the area of La Morra hills. Even 10 years after bottling, the Nebbiolo d’Alba The Vinum has vigorous and elegant tannins, and for every day that passes it becomes more bewitching. The particular aging in 30hL Slavonian oak barrels, allows this wine to stabilize, preserving the typical minerality and balsamic flavours of Nebbiolo grapes, a complex bouquet and an unequivocal freshness.

During a blind wine tasting, the Nebbiolo d’Alba The Vinum is easily recognizable, its well balanced acidity and elegant tannins, make it a unique wine. Besides worldwide praise, its most notible award was granted by James Suckling and Decanter.
